Documentary Internship/Volunteer: Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Project, Denver, CO

About the Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Project:
 
The Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Project is a non-profit organization specializing in providing exercise based recovery programs for individuals who have suffered a spinal cord injury (SCI), stroke, or similar trauma resulting in some form of paralysis. We understand each injury and individual is different, which is why we provide and administer a custom program to help clients maintain health and wellness while providing optimal functional return, filling the void for post-acute rehabilitation for spinal cord injury in Colorado. We use the following proven elements with our clients: neuromuscular reeducation, weight bearing activities, Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) with the RTI 300 bike, strength training, flexibility, and gait training. In addition, our facility provides client and family support and networking. We are based in Denver, Colorado and provide service to all qualified applicants. We offer programs for local and out of the area clients both in combination with or in replacement to traditional SCI rehabilitation programs.
 
Description: 
 
Each year we host a “Hops for Hope” beer and wine tasting event and benefit to raise awareness and funding for our programs and those that we serve. Spinal cord injury is often devastating for an individual and their family, both physically and financially and by participating in our program, our clients regain hope, independence, and confidence to move forward with their lives, all while working on maintaining health, wellness, and reaching toward their goals for recovery. As a part of our mission we always strive to offer the very best in adaptive exercise programs at the lowest fee base possible to make our program as accessible, both physically and financially, as possible. This illuminates the importance of  our “Hops for Hope” event. As part of this event we highlight one of our clients and tell their story in documentary form as a way to convey our message to our donors and guests at our Hops for Hope event, and other promotional events throughout the year. or We highlight their experience from pre- to post-injury and the impact that our programs have on them. This intern/volunteer would be responsible for filming and editing this entire production on behalf of the SCI Recovery Project. Filming and interviews may start immediately and the final project must be complete no later than September 20, 2013 for review and final edits before our October 26th event. Intern/volunteer will be expected to be in office for filming for as long as it will take to get b-roll and interviews completed, and can edit in office, or from home.  Scheduling is very flexible and will be discussed on a weekly basis.  The Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Project  is a fun place to work for anyone hoping to get into the documentary and fundraising video industry. 
Qualifications:
Must have access to a HD camera, and computer.  Must have post production experience in Final Cut & After Effects.  Studio lighting technique knowledge is a must.  Intern should have an interest in documentary, and be interested in fundraising and nonprofit industries.  Well organized, self motivated, professional demeanor.

Lyric House is Denver’s only full service music publishing company. We offer creative and administrative publishing services for bands, artists and songwriters both nationally and internationally.  Our catalog includes over 50 independent artists from Denver and all over the country. 
Description: 
Production interns will film edit and organize our weekly vlog updates.  These will vary from week to week, ranging from videos of our bands playing in office, to informative videos about the publishing business.  Occasionally we might have paid outside work our interns.  Interns will be expected to be in office one - three times a week for filming, and can edit in office, or from home.  Scheduling is very flexible and will be discussed on a weekly basis.  Lyric House is a fun place to work for anyone hoping to get into video production for the music industry.

The Video Production Assistant will work within the SlimGenics marketing team to shoot, and edit video materials for web, broadcast and DVD distribution. Camera Operator, Editor or Audio Engineer Needed for Adventure Film Company

Here’s a rundown of what we’re about.
We are an adventurous company located in Boulder, looking to find a dedicated team member to help us get this movie finished!
We are currently producing a 90 minute full feature length documentary that we need help on.

If you’re applying for a camera or DP position, we are looking for someone who is comfortable in extreme mountaineering conditions, has a good attitude, and shoots on a DSLR camera. 
For the audio engineer, we also need someone who can handle intense conditions, and has experience working on site. Also, if you have your own equipment, that would be great! Though we do have some audio equipment, so it’s not a huge deal if not.
For an editor, we need someone with experience using Final Cut Pro 7 that can work both in the office and remotely. Also, preferably with a Mac computer and a hard drive that holds at least 2 terabytes, though 3 would be ideal. These are not a deal-breaker, just preference.
